Executive Coaching - Methodology

The key elements of effective Executive Coaching are independence, objectivity and confidentiality.  The provision of the executive coaching programmes I offer derives from two key domains.  These are the evidence-based principles of cognitive behavioural theory and practice and the new insights from evolutionary psychology, with parallels to economic systems.  

This approach can help clients to identify and counterbalance internal biases, to dissipate anxieties, and to perceive the external world more accurately.  In consequence, clients become enabled to interact more effectively, to release their creativity and to develop maximally effective strategies for themselves and their organisation. 

The process begins with the client and coach agreeing to work towards specific goals.  The coach can help to develop the client’s vision, to clarify a business strategy and to assist with designing implementation tactics.  Inevitably, team working is central to maximising productivity in colleagues and staff.  Hence, methods of motivating colleagues and staff to achieve the professional’s goals, are often key to the process.  

The format of executive coaching sessions can range from that of an Oxbridge tutorial/supervision, to a psychotherapy session, or an informal discussion, depending entirely upon the client's preferences and requirements.  In all cases, it is implicit that complete confidentiality is a sine qua non.  

My own research team made significant contributions to the scientific understanding of occupational stressors, by revealing the capacity of interpersonal relationships to influence health and even productivity.  

The executive coaching I provide is designed to address a wide range of issues including:

I offer individually tailored executive coaching programmes for professionals and executives who wish to enhance their personal and professional effectiveness.  The sessions are designed to assist executives to maximise their potential and to achieve the best, for themselves, their organisation and, naturally, their customers or clients.
